Kevin J. Brody, MRFC started Brody and Associates in 1994 and has been a licensed insurance agent in Ohio since 1978. Kevin has also held an insurance license in good standing in the state of Michigan since 1989.
He is a 1976 graduate of Kent State University and in 1996 successfully completed the Estate and Business Planning courses at Graceland College Center for Estate and Business Planning. From 1993 to 2004, Kevin was a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and served on the board of the Washtenaw County Chapter (WAIFA) in Ann Arbor, MI. Kevin served as the Field Practices and Ethics Chair, Program Director and as President Elect, President and President Emeritus during his tenure. Kevin also practiced as a licensed Registered Representative and Investment Advisor with HBeck Securities, LLC and Crown Capital Securities, LLC, during this time.
He was a popular financial and estate planning instructor in the community education programs for the cities of Ypsilanti and Dexter, MI where he designed and taught the Financial Planning and Investing for Beginners and Seniors course. For many years Kevin held seminars for people over age 50 in Estate Planning Strategies designed to enable them to eliminate Probate and Estate Taxes, reduce Income Taxes, and to provide their families and charities with a distribution of their assets. Kevin has also been invited to speak at various retirement communities regarding the high cost associated with Private Nursing Home Care. He has held seminars to discuss the government and military veteran programs that are available to provide financial assistance for the care of the aged and their caregivers. Kevin is also well-known for implementing alternative planning strategies that help preserve estates from being lost to the high costs associated with care in a nursing home.
Kevin is a member of the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants (IARFC) having earned his RFC designation in 1998. In 2016, Kevin completed study and the exam for the Master Registered Financial Consultant (MRFC) designation. He is among the first 100 to have achieved this status in the country.
On April 21, 2017, the Master Registered Financial Consultant Certification Board (MRFC Board) of the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants announced that Kevin J Brody qualified to become one of the very first Registered Financial Consultants to receive the prestigious credential of Master Registered Financial Consultant (MRFC). Recipients of the MRFC designation must adhere to a steadfast commitment to continued education, professional improvement and a focus on serving the needs of their clients first and foremost. Kevin was able to achieve this high level of professional status by completing all requirements; including experience, education, licensing, business integrity, and by successfully passing the rigorous MRFC examination. The International Association of Registered Financial Consultants has recognized Kevin as one who has earned the impressive credential of MRFC for his continued "transparency of purpose and integrity of client relationships" and his "ongoing commitment to excellence" in his service to his clients.
Kevin is an active member of St. Basil the Great parish in Brecksville. He is also a longtime supporter of numerous charitable organizations including Amvets, Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Catholic Charities, and the St. Vincent de Paul Society, among others. While residing in Michigan, Kevin was an active member in the National Federation of the Blind (NFB) in Detroit and helped open a chapter in Ann Arbor. While serving as a board member for the Washtenaw Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (WAIFA) Kevin and fellow members would annually "ring the bell" for the Salvation Army as a public service project for the community. He has currently surpassed the seven-gallon level in blood donations to the American Red Cross, is a benefactor to the esteemed Hillsdale College, and is a Friend and Supporter of The Shrine of St. Stanislaus Church in Cleveland, Ohio and St. Francis de Sales Church, Parma, Ohio. He served on the Executive committee for the American Legion Brecksville Post 196 and currently serves as the First Vice Commander for the Hillcrest Post 104, Cleveland Hts., Ohio. He is listed in Who's Who Worldwide for numerous awards and professional accomplishments and has been recognized as a VIP in the Registry of Executives, Professionals, and Entrepreneurs 2013 - 2014, 2020 editions.
